This is the first printing of the first edition of ICE-BOUND HEIGHTS OF THE MUSTAGH. AN ACCOUNT OF TWO SEASONS OF PIONEER EXPLORATION AND HIGH CLIMBING IN THE BALTISTAN HIMALAYA by Fanny Bullock Workman and William Hunter Workman. This book was published in London by Archibald Constable in 1908. The book measures 243mm tall x 161mm, and has 444 pages, 166 b/w photos & 4 color watercolors, 2 folding maps, index. Exploration of Chogo Lungma Glacier near Haramosh in 1902 with Zurbriggen as their guide. Several first ascents were achieved.

CONDITION: Original green cloth, blue-brown-grey-white-black decoration of mountain scene front cover, TEG, gilt lettering cover & spine. Rebacked with original spine cloth cleanly & expertly relaid such that the repair work is not apparent at first glance, spine cloth is faded, front cover is clean with bright cover illustration and bright gilt, tight binding, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing.
