This is the first edition & first printing of BRADFORD ON MOUNT WASHINGTON. It was published in New York by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 1928. The book measures 201mm tall x 140mm and has 123 pages, 31 b/w photos, sketches, EP maps. Descriptive with emphasis on his winter climbing on the highest peak in eastern USA, Mt. Washington, written in his youth with artless enthusiasm for mountaineering, & thus very charming and engaging.

CONDITION: Original purple cloth, black lettering front & spine, EP maps. Minor fading spine and cover edges (normally these are found very faded but this copy had a dust jacket to keep the light away), no rubbing, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, foxing mainly on title page and on a few pages opposite photo plates, tight binding. The very uncommon dust jacket is in much better condition than what is normally found (when found): some surface flecking at spine corners, spine not severely faded which is often the case, 1cm tear lower rear, diffuse light soiling visible mainly on rear panel.
