This is the first printing of the first edition of BEYOND THE HILLS -- A CELEBRATION OF THE ADVENTURES OF DON FOREST by Cathy Calvert. This item was published in 2000 by The Alpine Club of Canada in Canmore. It measures 278mm tall x 215mm, and has 16 pages, and 18 b/w photos. It is the first issue in a series of staple-bound magazine style (but on thicker paper) special histories relating to Canadian mountaineering. This issue describes Don Forest's climbs in the Canadian Rockies. He was the first to climb all of the peaks in the Canadian Rockies at or above 11,000 feet in elevation.

CONDITION: Original thick paper covers (about the same as the covers for the recent club journals). Fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages. Price: $4.
