This is the first printing of the first edition of A PHOTOGRAPHIC RECORD OF THE MOUNT SHISHA PANGMA SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION by the expedition (no author credited). This book was published in Peking by The Science Press in 1966. As far as I know, this is the only edition of the book in english. It is quite uncommon. The book is large format measuring 293mm tall x 230mm, and has 86 pages, 8 color & 87 b/w photos (2 folding panoramas), EP map. Photo album of the expedition including some photos from the first ascent. The text (captions & short intro) is in english.

CONDITION: Original white cloth, gilt lettering front & spine. The original dust jacket is in very good condition with a 2cm tear upper rear spine crease, minor rubbing tips corners, clean. The book is in fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, usual slight darkening to spine cloth, tight binding, no foxing, clean. Very scarce book. Price: $750.
