This is the second printing of the first USA edition of Land Of Tempest. Travels In Patagonia 1958-62 by Eric Shipton. This is the second printing and has the same format and contents of the first printing. The book was published by E. P. Dutton & Co in New York in 1963. The only difference is the printing number on the copyright and the binding cloth is darker green on this second printing. The book measures 22cm tall x 14cm, and has 224 pages, 1 color & 24 b/w photos, 3 maps, index. A record of 4 expeditions including traverse of the southern ice-cap, climbing Cordillera Darwin, first ascent of Cerro Yagan, explorations in the Fitzroy area.

CONDITION: Original dark green cloth with gilt lettering spine. The book is in bright, clean condition with previous owner name and address in corner of blank FFEP, no other marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, tight binding, The dust jacket quite nice with no tears, very minor edge rubbing, cleaner than usual. Price: $35.
