This is the first printing of the first edition of OVER THE HIMALAYA by Koichiro Ohmori. This book was published in Seattle by Cloudcap in 1994. The book measures 247mm tall x 280mm, and has 108 pages, 44 double-page & 1 single-page color photos, map, detailed captions identifying peaks & ridges shown in photos at end using miniature images & markers. Sharp aerial color photos of the following regions of the Nepal Himalaya: Everest, Makalu, Khumbu, Rolwaling, Langtang, Kangchenjunga, Jugal, Ganesh, Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri. These mountains are so big that ground based photos, even telephoto ones, are inadequate in capturing the size and extent of faces. This is a superb application of aerial photography. Potentially useful book for those scoping a route or searching for new lines.

CONDITION: Original glossy hardcover. This book was published without a dust jacket. No example of this book has a dust jacket. The book has a dent/scuff on the front cover at the start of the author's surname that has caused a rupture (see photo), otherwise the book is in fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, clean, tight binding. Price: $20.
