This is an early paperback printing of ANNAPURNA FIRST CONQUEST OF AN 8000-METER PEAK by Maurice Herzog. This book was published in New York by Popular Library Publishing in 1953. This is a good read probably because of the author's romanticization of the account which is the main criticism of the book by mountaineering historians. Maurice Herzog, Louis Lachenal, Lionel Terray, Gaton Rébuffat, Ang-Tharkey, and Jean Couzy in action.
