This is the second printing (same format & contents as the first printing, but very slightly smaller cover size and different color cloth) of the first USA edition of NO PICNIC ON MOUNT KENYA by Felice Benuzzi. This book was published in 1953 by Dutton in New York. The book measures 216mm tall x 140mm, and has 239 pages, EP maps, a few small sketches. Incredible account of author’s escape with a colleague from WWII prison camp to climb Mt. Kenya & then voluntary return back to the camp. Good read, one of the most popular mountaineering books.

CONDITION: Original red cloth with gilt lettering spine. The book is in nice condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, tight binding, clean. The dust jacket has loss up to 15mm deep along top edge and spine, some 1cm deep loss to bottom of spine. Price: $35.
