This is the first edition & first printing of BRADFORD ON MOUNT WASHINGTON. It was published in New York by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 1928. The book measures 201mm tall x 14cm and has 123 pages, 31 b/w photos, sketches, EP maps. Descriptive with emphasis on his winter climbing on the highest peak in eastern USA, Mt. Washington, written in his youth with artless enthusiasm for mountaineering, & thus unavoidably charming.

CONDITION: Original purple cloth, black lettering front & spine, EP maps. usual fading spine cloth and cover edges (spine lettering visible but badly faded), minor rubbing tips corners, looks like bookplate pulled off rear EP, no previous owner's marks (or traces) or writing on any pages, foxing on title page only (other pages have no foxing), VG. Price: $125.
