This is the 1949 first paperback edition (full, unabridged text) of THE ASCENT OF NANDA DEVI by H. W. TILMAN. This book was published in 1949 by Guild Books in London. NOTE TO HIKERS, CLIMBERS, TRAVELLERS: This is by far the lightest and most compact printing of this famous book, about the size and weight of a small paper notepad, advantageous for packing where weight and space are limited.

CONDITION: Original printed paper covers with dust wrapper issued. The book is in nice condition with clean covers, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, some rubbing at spine ends, solid binding, no foxing. The dust jacket has 1cm loss at foot of spine, 1cm tear upper front with some loss, edge wear. Price: $25.
