This is the first printing of BREAKING POINT. CHALLENGE ON ALASKA'S MT. HUNTER. It was published in Denver by Chockstone Press in 1984. This is the first printing of the first editon. The book was issued only in paperback (no hardcover ever published). The book measures 228mm tall x 153mm, and has 135 pages, 8 color plates, 3 appendices (1 is large equipment list). This is the account of a severe climb on Mt Hunter up the central buttress of the South Face. The author, Peter Metcalf, & Pete Athans spent several days on the route and lost some weight. Good read.

CONDITION: Original paperback binding (no hardcover binding was issued). Very good condition with a bit of rubbing at spine edges, minor crease mark upper rear. Previous owner name penned to corner of first blank page, no other marks or writing in the book. This book is becoming slightly hard to find. Price: $45.
