This is the first edition (first printing) published in Seattle by The Mountaineers in 1989. The book measures 273mm tall x 196mm. It has 213 pages, many maps, many b/w & color photos, peak index, people index, extensive bibliography at end of each chapter & end of book. This book gives information on 400 known peaks between 7000m and 8000m. A very useful resource for those who might be looking for a target for an expedition to a 7000m+ peak.

CONDITION: Original blue boards with gilt lettering spine. The book has a very minor bump lower edge rear cover near outside corner, and small gift inscription on upper corner of short title page. Otherwise, the book is in fine condition with no previous owner's marks & no writing on any pages (except for aforementioned gift inscription), no foxing, tight binding, no creased or folded pages. The original dust jacket is in nice condition with rubbing at tips corners of flap folds, no tears, no chips, all flap corners present (not clipped). Price: $85.
