This is the first printing of the first edition of THE GLACIER PLAYFIELDS OF THE MT. RAINIER NATIONAL PARK by Joseph T. Hazard. This book was published in 1920 by the author in Seattle. The book measures 231mm tall x 155mm, and has 96 pages, 57 b/w photos. Advice on climbing, but mostly detailed account of ascents of Pinnacle Peak, climbing on Rainier at night, first ascent of Fuhrer Finger route on Rainier, climbing Rainier in a storm. Much scarcer than Hazardís other books.

CONDITION: Original brown wrappers, black lettering front cover, tipped-in b/w photo of two climbers upper front cover. Near fine condition with crease mark on lower corner of title page, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, solid binding, clean covers, no foxing. Price: $175.
