This is the first & only printing of El Picacho Del Diablo. The Conquest Of Lower California's Highest Peak 1932 & 1937. It was published in Los Angeles by Dawson’s in 1975. It measures 22cm tall x 45mm, and has 95 pages, 20 b/w photos, 1 map, biblio, introduction & history by John W. Robinson. Accounts of the second ascent of El Picacho (1932, being the first ascent from the west via “Pinnacle Ridge”) & first ascent from the east (1937, via Providencia Canyon). The first ascent of the mountain is usually credited to Donald McLain, a topographer & prospector, who claimed a solo ascent in 1911 via Cañon del Diablo & the N Ridge. Only 500 copies of this book were made.

CONDITION: Original greyish brown cloth hardcvoer, grey pictorial cover, gilt lettering spine. No dust jackets were ever issued for this publication. Covers clean, tight binding, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, near Fine Price: $95.
