This is the 1984 paperback edition of EVEREST: THE UNCLIMBED RIDGE by Chris Bonington and Charles Clarke. This book was published in London by Pan Books in 1984. Spring 1982 attempt at the first ascent of the NE Ridge of Mount Everest where Boardman & Tasker expired on final summit push. Good read despite the sad finish, embellished nicely with excerpts from Boardman’s diary & some of Tasker’s letters.

CONDITION: Original paperback. Clean covers, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, solid binding, some age browning to pages (not bad), probably never read since the spine shows no crease marks. Price: $8.
